So, I am fairly sleepy due to the fact that I was up until 1am making goody bags. This year, instead of regular candy filled goody bags or spider cupcakes or any of my usual standby treats... I wanted to make these "witch hands". Well, let me tell ya... I had to go to a specialty "party" store to find the food service gloves. And then there is the popcorn. There are 31 kids in my daughters class, and I popped 15 bags of popcorn to fill the gloves! My home now smells like the movies. To get the candy corn "fingernails" into the tips of the fingers and facing the right way took a little finessing too. And my naive little heart thought all I was going to have to do was pour the popcorn in. Oh, no no no. You need to gently wiggle down the popcorn pieces into each finger of each glove. So, this morning when I tied the last ribbons on the last gloves, and I just wanted massage my cramped hands, go back to bed, and never look at another kernel of popcorn ever EVER again... Madison saw the huge box of 35 lovingly created witch hands. She smiled her lovely Madison smile and said "Thank you Mommy, I love them".
And, I would do it all over again♥.
